Create stunning bobbin work, also known as reversed decorative stitch embroidery, with the Husqvarna Viking Specialty Bobbin Case. This unique technique lets you experiment with thicker decorative threads in the bobbin, adding texture and dimension to your projects for a truly unique finish.

How to Use:

1. Prepare the Machine
   Lower the feed teeth and remove the stitch plate.
   Replace the standard bobbin case with the Specialty Bobbin Case.
   Slide the stitch plate back in place and raise the feed teeth.
2. Thread the Machine Use a decorative thread on top and in the bobbin for an elegant finish.
3. Choose the Right Method for Your Thread
   For Heavy or Specialty Threads: Wind the bobbin slowly with the decorative thread, ensuring the HUSQVARNA® VIKING® logo faces out.
   Place the bobbin in the Specialty Bobbin Case with the logo facing up. For less texture, use thinner specialty threads.
   Adjust the bobbin tension screw if needed to ensure the thread pulls smoothly and evenly.
   Place the bobbin and pull the decorative thread into the bobbin tension
   For Heavier Yarns and Highly Textured Threads:
   Wind the bobbin by hand, wrapping the thread evenly clockwise.
   Bypass the bobbin tension for the most textured result.
   Do not pull the heavy thread or yarn into the bobbin tension or the thread cutter.
   Instead, feed the thread directly into the bypass slot.
   Place the bobbin in the Specialty Bobbin Case.
   To bring up the bobbin thread, hold the top thread and turn the hand wheel towards you.
4. Set Up for Stitching
   Thread the top of the machine with regular sewing thread.
   Use the recommended needle size for your fabric type.
   Snap on the B- or S foot for optimal stitching.
5. Begin Sewing
   Place the fabric right side down and layer Tear Away Stabilizer on top.
   Select stitches with less tight density for best results. Experiment with straight stitch, zigzag, and other decorative stitches.
   Lengthen the stitch for a cleaner look. The heavier the thread, the longer the stitch length should be.
   Select a slower sewing speed and maintain a consistent pace for even stitching.
   If needed, increase the top tension slightly for balanced stitches.
   Test on scrap fabric before starting your project to perfect your settings.
   
   Hint: Choose a stitch pattern that does not repeatedly stitch forward and back over itself for the best textured effect.

This technique allows you to create unique, dimensional designs by showcasing the decorative thread on the right side of the fabric. Experiment with different threads and stitches to achieve beautiful, custom embroidery effects.
