Professional quilts have perfectly finished binding. The binding is snug against the quilt; no bubbles or puckers. For us mere mortals, this use to mean a lot of guess work and hoping for the best. Well, not anymore. The Binding Tool does all the work for you.
Before any of the fun starts, you need to have 2 things finished.
1. There needs to be exactly 12 inches from the start of the binding and the end of the binding.
2. Each binding tail needs to be exactly 10 inches long. When I'm adding binding, I leave extra long tails, then cut down to 10 inches.
